Help to define your product range
While running HUNT ENGINEERING, we worked on several architectures for different product ranges. I had a team of designers/developers working on products that all had to work together, and with a common software/firmware development environment.
It was also possible that customers would develop their own hardware that needed to plug together with the HUNT ENGINEERING products. Indeed many of our successful customers did that.
To be able to make products that would be able to operate with new products that can be designed by other companies, or in our company several years later, and perhaps by new team members, we needed to make sure that the specification for the products contained all of the information required. The document needed to contain all of the information, but also the data flow interfaces needed to be defined in a way that was flexible and future proof.
Our success shows that I managed that well, and could offer to do the same for your products.
