Electronic Product Design
Something that I have always loved doing is electronics design. One of the reasons that I formed HUNT ENGINEERING was so that I could continue to design and use my imagination to create something that would solve a specific problem.
Over the years with HUNT ENGINEERING I have used designing hardware as a place where I can go to escape the other pressures.
In the last few years of HUNT ENGINEERING I was very involved in the design of the HAWK products, with special attention to Signal Integrity. Specifying a product range, and designing some products that would reliably work together was extremely enjoyable. Actually it was probably this enjoyment that convinced me that I was tired of trying to run the rest of a business operation without much passion or commitment from employees.
I have Cadstar software that allows me to design circuit boards from schematics to PCB layout and routing with full pre and post routing IBIS simulation for Signal Integrity. I also have other development software.
I have assembly equipment that would allow me to assemble prototypes and low production volumes.
I have test equipment that would allow me to perform most types of prototype and production test of any products I designed.
I am not really interested in simple PCB layout jobs, but where you need much more than that, I can offer expertise in designing something that helps to solve your particular problem, with DFM and Signal Integrity aspects taken care of.
You can see some of the products that I have designed you can look at the HUNT ENGINEERING products, but there are also some products that I can tell you about and show you that were developed but never released as products.
I have lots of experience with Xilinx FPGA, TI DSP, memory, fast ADC and DAC and digital I/O interfaces.
