Electronics Design and Development Engineer

Our Company

We are a small company which designs, manufactures and sells programmable board level products. Our customers program the boards to make them perform their required applications, so our products can be used in many varied systems. Our customers need to be able to rely on the boards to do whatever function they need, in a totally predictable and reliable way.

So our job is to come up with innovative new designs that can meet the maximum number of customers' needs, and to make certain that the hardware is designed so that it is reliable and robust.

We are all located in our offices in Brent Knoll Somerset UK, which is a countryside location where it is difficult to use public transport to and from work. Our office has a friendly relaxed atmosphere where we all work together without the management and politics found in larger companies.

The Job

We have some openings in our small team of Electronics Engineers, to design and develop new products. This design and development pays particular attention to Signal Integrity to ensure the maximum reliability. This requires engineers who have a complete understanding of basic electronic elements like R,L C etc, who are able to learn and understand how these apply  to real world high speed designs.

By being involved in the design for manufacture and design for test as well as the functional design you will see the products throughout their life cycle. You will also be expected to help to support customers who are programming the systems.

The right candidate

The right candidate will have a passion for Electronics, with an enquiring mind that will help them to understand the behaviour of each circuit intimately. It will not be enough to remember things taught at university – you really need to understand the issues so that you can apply them to each problem in a new way.

You will be willing to learn from existing members of the team, hopefully growing over time to be a more and more integrated member of the engineering team.

You would need to consider how you can travel to and from our offices as we are in the Somerset countryside.

You need to be able to communicate in clear, precise English without using vague clichés or over flowery language.

If you are interested you should now fill out our application form.
